DIY Sugar Lip Scrub

Hello :)

I hope all of you are having a great Summer so far!  Today I'm going to share with you a little diy lip product I just whipped up ;)  My friend let me try her bubble gum sugar lip scrub from LUSH and I loved it SOOO much!  But sadly.....it cost about 10$ for one little jar, which turned me off of purchasing one of my own.  I did really love what it did to my lips though, so I looked at the ingredients listed on the jar and decided to try making some for myself!  It was very easy and I had all the ingredients I needed in my pantry at home.  It turned out great and it tastes delicious on your lips!

Ingredients:

3 tsp of sugar (I used white but brown sugar would also work)

1/2 tsp of veg oil (olive, coconut or jojoba oil would also work)

1/2 tsp of maple syrup (or honey)

1 drop of food coloring (I used red)

Steps:

~Put the sugar, oil and maple syrup in a dish

~Mix with a spoon until all the ingredients are combined

~Add one drop of food coloring

~Mix with a spoon until the color is evenly distributed

~Scoop the mix into a little pot or jar and you are done!  Enjoy!!!!

How To Use:

This sugar scrub is to be used for exfoliating your lips :)  So, scoop some out of the jar with your finger and scrub it around on our lips.  Rub your lips together and scrub with your finger to remove dry skin and then lick of the excess sugar!  Yum!  P:

    1. I would apreciate if you stop hating on Eve and her design jobs. She is an amazing designer and friend and you need to find something better to do with your time! I love my design and I really don't care if you don't.....you need to keep your negative, rude comments to yourself :P

    2. I'm trying to help you out here Maiya. It really doesn't look good. I don't mean to hate on Eve I just wanted to tell you.

    3. Ok, thanks for your input I guess but I love my design and have no interest in getting it changed at this time. And please, if you aren't meaning to hate on Eve, stop leaving comments on my blog and hers (and on anyone elses for that matter) that are mean or inconsiderate. Sharing your opinion is ok but if you are doing it in a way that is harmful and hurtful to others, it is better to keep your opinions to yourself. Also, the other comment you left on my blog today was very, very rude and uneccesary and I would appreciate if you stopped "trying to help me".

    6. Anonymous,
I will pray that the Lord will change your heart. Its not very nice to say mean and rude things to people, also it just wastes your time and everyone else's. I just wanted to let you know that I will be praying for you.

    7. Come on Maiya. Look a Eve's blog and then look at your own. They're pretty much the same thing. How much effort exacly in put into that?

    8. I realise that they are similar but I ASKED for my design to look like this! Eve just designed my blog the way I asked her to and I love it, so please stop insulting her.

  10. Hello again, Maiya!
Well... let me tell you a little story.. ;)
I had just put the sugar and oil in and realized that we didn't have any honey or maple syrup! (which I thought we had. :P ) So, I experimented and tried putting in some molasses. Then I added some more sugar. It looked like brown sugar, which basically it was. So, I added some blue coloring, I knew it wasn't going to turn blue but hey, what could make it worse?! ;) Soo, I stirred it up and it turned this yucky green! :P It doesn't look very nice, but it still works! Lol! Yours looks a lot better! ;) I'll have to try it again when we have honey. :) Hahaa, thanks for the tutorial! :D
